A Visit With Friends

A quick trip to visit friends that had moved to Ohio. My two and her four. Yes, she is blessed with four boys!

Enjoying the beach on Lake Erie.

Sea glass! I had no idea what it was until now. Sea glass or beach glass is lost broken glass that has found its way to the sea where it is transformed into frosted gem like treasures by the natural tumbling action of the tides. I was bent over for an hour looking for these tiny treasures. A handful of beauties and a broken back to show for it. The chiropractor visit is next!

I love sea glass! I used to love to collect it at the beach around where I grew up.

Thanks for stopping by. The earrings are made from scute from our turtle's shell. I know I'm weird!

Hugs!!

Wow! I've never seen sea glass either! How pretty would that be in a clear bowl with a candle in the middle. Worth the sore back, I'd say. Thanks for stopping by my blog too. :)

I grew up by the beach, so sea glass always makes me feel nostalgic. Such great memories collecting and inspecting. (And stepping on the glass that wasn't quite frosted yet...)

I guess sea glass is more awesome than I even knew. I think my friend is planning something creative to do with our stash or try and sell it!

Wow, you found that many..., and you know that lake Erie is actually considered a Sea..., one of the few landlocked ones.

I have never found sea glass myself & I grew up visiting the Pacific Ocean all the time. I've only found small shells & lots of seaweed. I would love to find some sea glass. I love all that you found. I think next time you should take a one of those grabber thingies so you won't have to bend over. And thanks for stopping by my blog & leaving me a comment. It really means a lot to me that you did.
