Tommy can you hear me?

Over the summer, Tommy's daughter went missing for about a week but happily returned, now it has been over a month and no Tommy. My daughter made this picture this morning as we believe he is no longer coming back. I guess part of me can always say, well, we don't know for sure what happened and that is what I've told the kids. We all assume to know what's occured, but there is always that small grain of hope, maybe.... just maybe.

I hope that Tommy does come home. I have never had a pet, but I can imagine the kids are torn.

I love the picture- cute!

It's good to hold on to that! I've had a couple of animals that went missing and came home much, much later. :-)
But also smart to not give the kids false hopes.

Awwww...
Those kitties steal your heart, don't they?
We've had several go missing, and it breaks my heart.

Don't make me cry on a Friday! I love cats. I can't bear to think of one missing or hurt. Poor Tommy!

Diane, I'm so sorry! You've probably thought of this, but have you checked your local Humane Society? You never know, I just adopted one cat that was supposedly a stray, so she likely was with a family at one time, and another that had been removed from the home due to too many pets. Just maybe someone called the HS to come get him if he hung around their yard at times, they might have thought him a stray too.

I'm praying for his safe arrival home.

Oh, I hope he does come back. I know God does care for Tommy as one of His creatures, and He knows. But hard for the kids and you.

BTW darling picture she drew.

The hardest thing to explain to kids is when a pet goes missing. A cat...may take some time but they eventually come home! Here's crossing my fingers ;)

That picture breaks my heart! Hope the little guy surprises you and finds his way home. Losing a beloved pet is always so hard!

Hi Diane-
Oh the pictures are so cute. It's awful when we "lose" pets. I heard a story recently about a dog that was reunited with his family after being lost for years. There is always hope. :-)

I really hope Tommy comes home. When I was a senior in high school, our dog of 11 years vanished. It was heartbreaking and I hope your kids don't have to feel that sadness!
