Am I the Only One Annoyed?

Went shopping today. A rarity. I just don't enjoy "the mall" anymore. Unless there is a specific item I need, my days of mall roaming are over. I don't need to pick up guys, or be part of the "fun, in crowd", or get the latest trendy brand names to flaunt.
I was actually looking for a bathing suit. Crazy thought, I know, but I figured end of season 75% off, something to give me a cheap thrill, kind of day. First "aah! look away moment" is any woman trying on a bathing suit, there, enough said. Second bothersome moment is that one rack away from the bathing suit rack I was looking at were winter coats. Then upon further examination after my initial shock, a whole wall display of winter coats with a big sign that said, "Pre-Season Sale". I have never professed to be Mensa material, but I think the season after Summer is Fall and the fact that I have to even somehow make the mental jump from 90 degrees outside to below freezing clothing is quite annoying to me. It is August people! I do not want to see Halloween, Thanksgiving and yes, Christmas decorations out. I just want to enjoy summer and the beach and shorts and the sunshine hitting my shoulders and not frost biting and nipping on my cheeks. OK, phew, my ranting and raving is over.... enough said.

LOL...you are right...trying to find summer clothing in the summer is very difficult, we might find great sales at this time but I certainly can't find my size...you have to start looking around March!!! Not my favorite time to look for summer cloths...

Cheers

Bathing suites and winter coats side by side. Only this time of year would that happen. I actually get excited with each change of season and anticipate the next. I love the fact that I live where one season never really has a chance to get old.

LOL I recently did the same thing--hunted for a suit on sale and did find one! Did you? But this is FL where they are worn all year and they put them on sale now and then they will be hard to find!

I TOTALLY know what you mean! I get so bummed that the Marketing world wants to rush the season's through so quickly. I think it's so that people will get nervous and impulse buy more, making customers worry that the season is "almost" here. So wrong, misleading, and just plain outright EVIL. It seems like the Marketing World doesn't really care for the consumers anymore, they are looking out for themselves to make a few dollars. The only good thing is that if you the stores fast enough you can find the clearance items and still have a little time left for that season to enjoy it, but the clearance items go quickly! I remember trying to find a bathing suit in JUNE, for crying out loud JUNE, and there were clearance items out? I was like wait, did I miss something?? Uhh according to the marketers YES. All that said, even more frustrating to see Christmas decorations out, is just MORE than annoying, its like they are trying to rush us and give us ANXIETY lol....anyways, thanks for the blogs, I very much enjoy reading them... take care..Patti~

I am sensing a lot of others frustrated with the blurred seasons. No acceptable bathing suit was found :O(

You think that's bad? I worked in a department store a couple of years ago and this time of year you couldn't even FIND bathing suits. They'd clearance them out in early July and start putting coats out in August. Then in January they'd clearance out the coats and start crowding out the coats area with all the new bathing suits.

That store? Hecht's. It's now Macy's.

LOL. I went to the mall with my DD on Monday. I'm out of the mall crawl phase as well so it was a bit daunting and tiresome. I actually needed some sweaters but for a trip back east next month but didn't find anything. Saw some cute bathing suits on clearance at TJ MAx though ;)

We went to the BEACH and tried to buy a bathing suit and they were not selling them anymore.
It's 100 degrees out and the Gulf of Mexico is ten feet away. What?!? I'm so with you.
