Will she be the one?

Waiting......... yes, on you Taylor Swift!

I've seen others come along looking oh, so cute and innocent. Talented, young, lovely.....

But then, it happens. The complete and utter meltdown. The no-brakes applied roller coaster ride into the Temple of Doom.

We've all seen Brittany, Jessica, Lindsey, Paris etc. take their turns. All starting out the same as you are, but then it happens.......

I have to say, lately you are impressing me. That whole Kayne West thing...... CLASSY! That showed poise well above your years. Your latest song "Fifteen", I have to say I love it. Giving those young followers of yours the heads up that you don't have a clue at fifteen, so on point.

So please, be the one! Not just for me, but for the entire world. Don't have a complete and total meltdown, drug or alcohol addiction, sex scandal or anything else involving the police. If you do fall into temptation, do it privately. I will pray for you and wait on the other side to see you come out smiling and happy.

Just show me and the other 4 billion people watching you that it can be done. Make your mark in a different way! Please be "the one".

There's still time to enter my giveaway. Scroll down and join in! :O)

It is so sad what has happened in these young ladies lives. Taylor does need our prayers, along with these other struggling young people.

My prayer has always been for God to gift me with an amount of success and wealth that will not draw me away from Him.

Taylor really has talent!

It is sad to see what happens to some of the very talented artists out there!

I wish her happiness what ever that means for her...
Cheers

Well said. I think Taylor is a class act and an extremely talented performer--hopefully she'll stay that way.

I hope she's okay. Hollywood is tough on the innocent. I will say that I haven't heard too much about Hilary Duff doing anything crazy.

I love her music, she's enormously talented and writes her own stuff! I'll be watching (DVR) SNL this weekend. ;)

Wow, when you list them all, it does make you really see that this happens over and over again. These young girls just can't handle the fame/attention :( On the flip side, their lives are similar to zillions of others, but because they're famous, the media captures it all never giving them a moments peace.

Hoping you got my last comment.

I hope she's the one! We can only pray for her. There are a few exceptions in Tinseltown but few and far between.

Too true. I'm a fan of Taylor's for the exact reasons you stated. Let's hope she continues her classy path. And hey, Hilary Duff never had a meltdown, and I always liked her too. There's hope!

She's in the pressure cooker, for sure, but so far she's handled herself with complete aplomb.

I agree, Diane... Taylor has so far seemed to be above all the normal teen stardom trappings. I look at Miley Cyrus and thought she was going to be different, too, though. Taylor is older, though, and seems to have a wise maturity about her.

I agree..I hope Taylor Swift will stay the talented songwriter and singer she is, without all the drama and angst that can come from early, overwhelming fame. I too was impressed with her reaction to the Kanye West fiasco. She definitely came out the "bigger" person in that!

God bless you this weekend. :)

I have to say that I'm very impressed with her so far. After seeing her in concert, I've got even more respect for her. Thankfully, it seems as though she has a close knit family and good moral ground to stand on so far. I'm with you... I hope she keeps up the good work and doesn't let it over take her.

She went to the same high school as I did and she's from Hendersonville, Tennessee. Hendersonvillians are sweet and innocent!!! Okay, just Taylor and I, but still...

I haven't heard the new song but I'm getting a kick out of someone her age singing about how she didn't know anything at 15. Yeah, and at 25 you'll realize you don't know anything now...and at 30, and at 35... It just keeps going!

Hi Diane, thank you for commenting on my blog! I love your site and I look forward to reading your work. I'm a huge Taylor Swift fan, and like you, I hope the innocence lasts. My six year old loves her too. Every manuscript has a soundtrack, and I cried when I heard Fifteen for the first time. It has become my WIP's song. I bought that CD and I love the first track, Fearless too!

I think Taylor might be different because she is very talenting. She writes her own things. She isn't just a marketing puppet. I'm not saying that some of these other girls aren't talented, but they were never doing original things that they created themselves. I think perhaps that creative spirit might keep her more grounded. Only time will tell.

I have gut feeling about Taylor. I think she is a keeper and will not forget who she was.

My nine year old LOVES Taylor Swift. I'm praying she stays on track, for herself as well as the sensibilities of my dear daughter. I definitely don't want to explain to her some of the more unsavory things the others have done!

I have a feeling this girl is the real deal. I've heard she's really nice.

I would hate to see her get into any trouble and although I'm not a fan of her music, she seems like a good one ;)

Can't deny talent like hers either.

I don't know much about Taylor Swift. Just wanted to say that some of us fall victim to our success if we aren't grounded in our faith and/or families. I hope and wish her the best.

Maybe it's all in the raisin' !

(did your cat come back yet?)

I agree, Diane.

Taylor Swift's songs are so sweet (did you know she writes them all herself?). She is older than the others, so I'm hoping the trappings of Hollywood don't suck her in. Like I tell my daughter - it's a dark industry, so go through the doors God opens, knowing He has called you to be a light.

I feel the same way about Selena Gomez. Our family loves her.
